The 6th Session of the 5th Committee of the CPPCC Pengjiang District of Jiangmen City grandly opened in Pengjiang on February 10. CPPCC members from all walks of life in the district gathered together to earnestly perform their functions of political consultation, democratic supervision, and participation in the deliberation and administration of state affairs, pooling their efforts and discussing development strategies for Pengjiang to build a pilot zone for the development of new productive forces and a demonstration zone for high-quality urban development.
He Teng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the CPPCC Pengjiang District Committee, Huang Wenjian, Lv Qiongfeng, Lin Yongkang, Li Maohuai and Chen Rongyao, Vice Chairmen, and Li Weiyuan, Secretary-General, took seats in the front row of the rostrum. Li Zhijian, Secretary of the Pengjiang District Party Committee, Huang Jiayi, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Acting District Chief, and other district leaders attended the session to extend congratulations and discuss development plans with the members. A total of 238 members were supposed to attend the session, and 215 were present, which met the quorum requirements.
At the session, He Teng delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Pengjiang District Committee, comprehensively summarizing the work in 2025 and arranging the tasks for 2026. The report pointed out that under the strong leadership of the District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Pengjiang District Committee continued to strengthen the development of the special consultation body in 2025, making positive contributions to Pengjiang's successful building into a strong economic district with a trillion-yuan output. 2026 is the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan. The CPPCC Pengjiang District Committee will focus on four aspects: steering the right course of political guidance, acting as a think tank for serving development, drawing a concentric circle for building consensus, and forging a vital force for fulfilling duties and taking on responsibilities, so as to boost the creation of a new situation for Pengjiang's practice in advancing Chinese modernization through high-level performance of duties.
Li Maohuai delivered a report on the handling of proposals on behalf of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Pengjiang District Committee. Since the 5th Session of the 5th CPPCC Pengjiang District Committee, a total of 78 proposals have been submitted, 48 of which have been examined and placed on file, all have been handled and replied to on schedule, and the satisfaction rate of the members has reached 100%.

Representatives of various democratic parties, the Federation of Industry and Commerce of the district, the Intellectuals Association of the district and the New Social Strata Association of the district also delivered keynote speeches respectively, contributing their wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of Pengjiang.
Other leading group members of the Pengjiang District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, the District Government and Binjiang New Area, the principal responsible persons of all towns (sub-districts) and district-level government departments, as well as members of the Pengjiang Liaison Group of the CPPCC Jiangmen Municipal Committee were invited to attend the opening session as non-voting delegates.
