On March 1st, coinciding with the traditional Chinese Dragon Heads-raising Day when spring breezes revive all living things, the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy (CAPD) held the "Guangdong CAPD United Forest" tree-planting event at Dongguan's Huayang Lake National Wetland Park. This initiative represents a significant effort by the Provincial Committee to respond to the national call for ecological civilization construction, promote green development in Guangdong, and support the "High-Quality Development Project for Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Towns, and Ten-Thousands of Villages." It embodies concrete actions in practicing the vision that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."
The event received enthusiastic support from the Guangdong CAPD Enterprise Association, Dongguan Municipal CAPD Committee, grassroots organizations directly under the Provincial Committee, and enterprise associations of municipal-level organizations, as well as strong backing from the Mayong Town Government of Dongguan City. At the opening ceremony, Li Shengwu, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Mayong Town, introduced the town and wetland park, while forestry experts provided detailed instructions on the "7-Step Tree Planting Method." Participants then enthusiastically engaged in tree planting activities with clear division of labor and seamless coordination—digging pits, supporting saplings, filling soil, and watering. The scene buzzed with collective energy. Through diligent efforts, newly planted saplings stood upright in the breeze, adding fresh greenery and hope to Huayang Lake Wetland Park while injecting new vitality into Guangdong's ecological endeavors.
Li Minqi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial CAPD Committee, emphasized that this initiative not only serves as a key practice supporting the "Hundreds-Thousands-Ten-Thousands Project" but also fosters unity within the CAPD family. The Provincial Committee will continue leveraging its strengths to actively engage in public welfare undertakings, further support the project, and contribute to building a beautiful Guangdong and promoting high-quality provincial development.
Attendees included Liang Jiayi, Vice Chairperson of the Dongguan Municipal CPPCC and Chairperson of the Dongguan CAPD Committee; Chen Lixia, Vice Chairperson of the Qingyuan Municipal CPPCC and Chairperson of the Qingyuan CAPD Grassroots Committee; members of the Guangdong CAPD Enterprise Association; representatives from municipal enterprise associations and business members; delegates from grassroots organizations directly under the Provincial Committee; and relevant officials from the Provincial Committee and Dongguan CAPD offices.
Huang Xiaotao, Chairman of Guangdong Wenhao Group, actively participated in the event. Under his leadership, Wenhao Group—an integrated furniture manufacturer specializing in R&D, design, production, and sales—has expanded its industrial chain with forward-looking strategic vision by investing in or acquiring stakes in multiple supporting enterprises. The Group's administrative headquarters in Chuangzhi City, comprising multiple business divisions and departments, has laid a solid foundation for its development.
